The galleries will be open as well so you can travel to fin-de-siècle Paris in the exhibitions Manet's Bar at the Folies-Bergère and Defining Modernity: European Drawings 1800–1900, both opening June 5, and visit the eye-popping animals in Oudry's Painted Menagerie and Medieval Beasts.
June 8, 2007: Camea and Drumcell
She's Seattle cool meets Brooklyn edge, with a dark, sophisticated techno and micro-house sound that's addicted the hip across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Camea, a classically trained piano and clarinet player turned electronica diva, offers a funky-sexy blend of groovy house and techno-pop, a little bit dirty and a lot danceable. A rising star on the producing scene, she's also the founder of two record labels, Clink and Klickhaus, which showcase the best of minimal techno.
SoCal techno standard bearer Drumcell continues his war on all music bad and bland by mixing acid house, techno, and industrial with homebrew software and cutting-edge hardware. He weaves a thick blend of acidic techno and funky minimalist grooves for a fresh, innovative sound.
How to Get Here
The Getty Center is located at 1200 Getty Center Drive in Los Angeles, California, approximately 12 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles. Parking is $8. See Hours, Directions, Parking for directions and parking information.

INTERFACE 19.0 by Droidbehavior
1st ever LA appearance by Heartthrob + Ambivalent
Heartthrob live PA | Paris
M_NUS
Already loving "Tour de France," "White Horse," and the music of
Prince as a young child, Heartthrob fell into the pioneering minimal
acid world of Plus8 and Drop Bass Network parties as a teenager.
Embedded with these forward-thinking influences, he soon caught the
production/ performance bug and moved to New York in 1999, where
he hooked up with M_nusites Magda, Troy Pierce, and Richie Hawtin.
His experiments in minimal music and contemporary art have drawn
him to an intersection where tradition and innovation cross, producing
an ideal fusion of emotion, function, and experimentation as entertainment.
Recent M_nus releases "Baby Kate" and "Nasty Girl" have become essential
tracks over the last 18 months, fueling the ammunition of his devastating live PA.
Ambivalent live PA | NYC
M_NUS | Clink
Growing up amidst the diverse DC scenes of acid-house, industrial,
go-go, and hardcore punk, Ambivalent spent some time in London and
finally landed in NYC in 1996. He then began producing events inside
the Brooklyn Bridge with artists like Thomas Brinkmann, Dimbiman, Carl Craig,
Ryoji Ikeda, and Pole, and later with such M_nus acts as Magda, Troy Pierce,
Heartthrob, and Matthew Dear.
After moving to Berlin in 2004 to help produce Richie Hawtin's
Plastikman live show, Ambivalent returned to New York to focus on
full-time production. His recent successes with acclaimed releases and
remixes on M_nus, Clink, Klickhaus, Esperanza, and Leftroom have
landed him prestigious gigs all over Europe, as well as North
America's highest profile showcases, DEMF and Mutek. He's OK.
Alland Byallo | SF
