Before I gave it up, it ended up becoming the only thing I was eating. I was busy studying for finals, taking finals, working and trying to get my body switched over to a night shift schedule. I would have breakfast at McDonald's, lunch at Taco Bell and dinner at Jack in the Box. Not good.
I finally gave it up. Since then, I've had a lot more energy during the day, have felt better and have dropped seven pounds without changing any other aspect of my daily life. I don't crave it anymore, and when February 16th rolls around (I said I wouldn't touch it for two months) I doubt I'll want to go out and have some.
The only downside is that my appetite hasn't taken too well to it. Earlier this month I had a peanut butter sandwich for lunch and that filled me up until the same time the next day. I was starving so I cooked myself a delicious looking plate of nachos. I had one chip and felt so full that I was going to puke, and had no appetite until the next day.
It's getting better now, I've slowly been able to eat more and more. Just an example of what a constant fast-food diet will do to you. |
For a couple of weeks around the same time I had weird pains in my chest, but they subsided as my normal appetite returned. All in all I lost a total of fifteen pounds in about just under three weeks with no exercise, just a complete lack of fast food.
