Storm : Summer Classics!! @Emporium, Coalville

18th August 2007

9pm - 5

2199 Mad For It Clubbers & YOU!!

It only happens twice a year, but when it does – it’s always something very special. Storm classics returns for its bi-annual outing and in true Storm fashion we’re going to be providing something a little bit different to the rest of the hard house nights in the UK playing catch up.

Captain Tinrib is, in many ways, the unsung hero of the hard house scene. Tinrib Recordings is regarded by many as one of the most consistent and forward thinking labels of all time. Fuelled by timeless releases that were always far ahead of their time - such as “Blue Oyster”, “Street Tab” and “Curva Peligrosa”, the success of the label has given Captain Tinrib a rightful place in the hard house hall of fame.

Given the man’s incredible contribution to our scene, it’s an absolute pleasure for Storm to present a very special Captain Tinrib LIVE classics set for your aural pleasure.

Mark “K90” Doggett is one of the Storm faithful’s favourite acts, and the fact he’s attributed with writing two of the biggest hard trance tunes of all time – “Red Snapper” and “Breathe” - he is an obvious choice to come and rock the Emporium on the 18th of August with a one-off K90 classics DJ set.

Tidy girl, and all round scene queen Amber D knows how the Storm crowd like it better than most. As a former Storm resident, she’s widely regarded by G.M.R.S and the rest of the emporium regulars as the goddess of hard house. Her party spirit and awesome selection of tidy classics will no doubt bring a fantastic atmosphere and a huge amount of hands in the air moments – making this night one to remember for many years to come!

One DJ who’s been gracing the 1’s and 2’s ever since Storm’s conception is Ian M. With his seemingly flawless mixing and enviable record collection, the former trade resident will be reliving the London glory days with his trademark pumping sound. One of the most consistent jocks in the game, he’s guaranteed never to disappoint and this will undoubtedly be one of the sets of the night.

Phil Reynolds and Technikal are two very successful hard trance producers and DJs respectively. Between them they’ve been responsible for some epic hard trance releases and DJ’d to thousands of adoring fans across the globe. Their take on hard trance differs somewhat, but their ability to rock the Emporium crowd is something they both share in common. It should make for an excellent contrast and a highly entertaining hour of euphoric breakdowns and smiling faces.

Sunday night at TW5 is remembered for one thing only - a bounce set of mammoth proportions by Deprivation stalwarts JP and Jukesy. One in – one out for the entire duration of the set, this magic moment will be recreated for the masses at Storm classics in August. Bouncy basslines and cheeky stabs will be the order of the day, definitely one set not to miss on the 18th of August!

Goodgreef resident Neal Thomas will join Daley for a special exclusive battle of the superclubs classics set and add in to the equation Garbo and you’ve got yourselves a must attend showcase of classics for the summer!
