the proper place for krk's is in the bin.
ROFFELZ
ok, now about your stands... you make them yourself for two reasons:
1. pro grade stands cost $200 each, where you can make as good/better for $25 each.
2. pro grade stands are always at a fixed height, which is never exactly where you need it to have the tweeters aligned with your ears.
This is my design. You fill the PVC pipe with sand to absorb resonances. This will work better than the typical metal cylinder style stands, because PVC is obviously less rigid. Cut the PVC pipe at the exact height you need the speakers. BTW: the pipe is a standard 100mm downpipe.
If you're going to make stands like this, you might as well put your speakers in the right place too. They need to be as far away from you as they are from eachother. If you imagine each speaker and your head form 3 points, you would get an equilateral triangle. The distance should be around 1m to 1.2m. Now you need to angle them in. You have two choices -cross over infront of you, or behind you. You do NOT want to be listening at the exact point where the signals cross over, because there is alot of phaasing/combfilting/etc. For djing it is always best to have the crossover infront of you, because you will often move back and forth.
