Optical Binary - Nem (Melodic Trancer)

Hey guys,

Been a while since I posted anything on there so decided to load something into myspace so I could get your thoughts on this little project.

Track: Optical Binary
Quality: 128bps
Genre: Oldie trance
Gear: Floops and heaps of plugs n' stuff

www.myspace.com/nemster44

Things I can already hear:
I know the highs are still a little untamed and perhaps the breakdown could use a bit more tension and a bit more development. Just wanted to get your thoughts.

Cheers
Nem

hey mate.

this is a nice track man. reminds me of the good old days synth guitar is real nice. melody is strong. i want to hear the lead guitar synth a lot more prominant in the mix. get it seering!

also i think clearing up some of the percs with less reverb will create a better drive and clarity. particularly your snare/clap could be louder and more upfront.. try getting the percs similar to tornado of souls.

top work champ

Cheers Rich,

Will address those things, yeah not happy with the clap and verb at the moment. And also have trouble with some freqs bleeding into each other at the moment.

Basically wanted to write something for my Mrs and unborn baby. So that's basically what this track is about. Hence the fluffy nature of the track.

Cheers
Karl

I cant offer you anything production wise but for what it's worth I enjoyed the track. I'd buy it if you get it released - I love the fluff

This is a NICE epic melodic tune, I love a dreamy "pluck". The pluck could have some more effects on it though I think to make it stand out.

I really wish people could post more than a myspace link.

Most of the times the freaking player won't work for me.

oh well.

Hey guys,

Thanks for checking this out. Don't worry this is due for a proper mix down and is indeed set for a release later this year. Will let people know when the time comes.

One of the luxuries of being in A&R for a label is getting tracks out there.
As stated before though, anyone up for seeing if they have what it takes just drop me an e-mail with a link to your track at [email protected]

Don't be shy, besides I love sharing my thoughts and helping if I can.

All the best
Nem

Good ol' melodic trance, cheesy in some ways but well produced. This tune does everything correctly as far as I can tell with exception to some of the highs. However, the kick is well compressed and the other elements have that glitter and spaz to them that makes this genre shine and gives it it's momentum.

The e-guitar is a good instrument for this genre... I think it is underrated. Gives an Ibiza flavor.

Pretty sweet... I'm in the process of writing a track for my girl as well.
