Well here are a few reasons in no specific order
1. 90% of Canada's population is within 250 miles of our borders.
2. 87.4% of exports to the United States!!!
3. your military is helping fight in our war
4. teams in our MLB, NBA, and NHL
5. You like our NFL better than your 8 teams of CFL
6. Our corporations strengthen, if not define your economy
7. 99% of movies come from the U.S.
8. McDonald's
9. Canadian Law is modeled after the U.S.
10. Were better

1. matter of warmth, not personal, but climate; amongst other obvious logistical reason. Settlement patterns drawn up many years ago when transportation did not allow for extended travel for any sort of commerce.
2. We are in the same continent, its seem logical
3. Your war...apparently this is a bonus; rather than a representation of one of Americas greatest, recent downfalls. The mass majority of our population wants nothing to do with it.
4. We also watch a good amount of world sport, not just American sport.
5. Glad you feel that way. CFL is actually an exciting sport for football anyways.
6. Your corporations are largely based in many other countries, including the developing world. Strengthening the economies of countries which they are based in, sure. But destroying the environment, jobs security in America, quality of products and the future of the American economy it also does.
7. That number is so incredibly flawed, I will let you go do your own research. Look at your Oscars as s microcosm of the world film industry, where vast amounts of films come from all over the world.
8. I've come to realise this list was a joke as soon as I realised you wrote this...awesome. I'd be 15 pounds lighter if this company didnt exist.
9. Canada is historically a product of Britain in so many ways, and as a result much of our original politics and laws are derived directly from the British system.
10. "Were" is right.
