'Ghetto Dude'.... overreaction by the media?
http://www.thestar.com/News/Ontario/article/239069
What do you guys think about this 'Ghetto Dude' story about this black U of T student who got an e-mail from queens park (I dont know if this was sent to him by accident..?) about his job application where the writer referred to him as 'ghetto dude'?
like yeah its inappropriate and the guy deserves an apology and all, but i think the media is making way too big a deal about this, acting like he is a suffering victim....
It says that all the media are lining up for interviews with this guy....?
and everyone is offering jobs to this 'victim' of racial harassment...?
last time i checked 'ghetto dude' wasnt the most offensive word in the dictionary.... and the guy is being a bit of a cry baby about it, "and still feels "remarkably unsatisfied," as he put it, by the sense that senior government bureaucrats are "trying to minimize this incident" by referring to Aileen Siu, the employee involved, as inexperienced and a recent graduate."
minimize this incident? so some idiot uses a mildly offensive term.... accept the apology, realise the person is probably socially retarded, and get over it!
anyways, maybe i am just an asshole... what do u guys think?
