auzzie trance - in the same league as 'home and away'?

hey guys.

what you guys think about australian trance, or edm for that matter? personally i cant think of one really good auz edm producer or label. and there seam to be loads of new auz trance labels since the last few years, and they all seam to be either bad or moderate.

i dont mean to sound racist towards the auzzies, but it seams they lack a good trance force over there.

any views?

Luke Chable, Phil K, Infusion, Danny Bonnici... There "seams" to be plenty, though not necessarily trance.

There are a few producers emerging from down under with some cracking tunes under their belts. Mike Nichol's Paradigm is awesome.
Dr. Willis has a few tunes collaborating with Mark Sherry and David Forbes. I know there aren't heaps of trance producers with huge reputations but these are worthwhile in my opinion and worth checking if you haven't done so.
How can you compare trance music to that home and away rubbish?

First of all, it's "Aussie", not "Auzzie".

There are plenty of good Australian producers:

Nathan G (House)
Phil K (Progressive)
Kasey Taylor (Progressive) - was 1/3 of "Quench" and is owner of Vapour Recordings
Luke Chable (Progressive)
Ivan Gough (Progressive)
Mike Nichol (Trance) - Armin has dropped his tracks a few times
Chris Meehan (Progressive)
Sean Quinn (Tech/Progressive) - was 1/3 of Quench
CJ Doland (Progressive) - 1/3 of Quench
Lewie Day (Tech/Progressive)
Anthony Pappa (Trance)
Mark James (Progressive/Trance)

Unlike the UK, in which trance has had a huge following for years, trance is only just becoming widely known and recognised by the mainstream in Australia.

Ferry Corsten closed a mainstream festival in March to a crowd of 25,000, and I think he turned a lot of heads and made plenty of people realise that their pre-conceptions of trance were totally incorrect.

In the next ten years the Australian scene will be a lot bigger on the world stage I think.

Hands down the most stupid thing i have read on the internet in a very long time...

n00b

Two of the best trance tunes ever written came out of Australia...

Narcotik - Blue
Freefall - Skydive

Add to that the rest of the names that have been listed...

Nuff said really!
