Logic Pro vs. Reason

Hey Guys,
I'm being forced to switch to a mac computer in December. And I'm a FL Studio user, which is only for PC. But additionally, I want to switch to Logic Pro and Reason. So I already have experience with FL Studio since April. But which one should I get Logic Pro or Reason. Which one is the best to get. I hear things about Reason like "I've had it for a year and still don't get it!" and I haven't heard much about Logic Pro. Right now I'm leaning towards Logic Pro because I hear all the pros dominantly use that one and I'm sick and tired of using the cheesy shit from FL Studio.
Help me out

If it takes a year for a person to get reason, then his life will be too short to get to know logic. Besides, if you make cheesy shit in fl, don't expect to make anything better in other software.

To answer your question, it's all down to your own taste. If you plan to use external instruments you should get logic. Reason is great value and is a lot easier to start with + it's a lot cheaper. Later on you can still buy one of the big tools and rewire reason.

First you have to know what you are going to do. I know most of the people will tell you download the demo and see yourself but I personally get to know what I need after I try something out for a long time and thats why im telling you if you have a chance to get a copy of both from friends do it, if not then you have to ask yourself a Question :
"Will I use hardware (Synth) gear??""
IF yes = Logic
IF no = Reason (cauz it hasn't any audio channels only midi my friend)
And remember that Reason 4 is coming out and and I also read many articles about Emagic and that they are preparing logic 8 which will be called something different than Logic (they will come out with a new DAW).So dont buy now at any reason!!!
hope this helps see you

Audio Channels means that u cant record audio from external unit or external hardware. So you can only make music using the sounds of reason , Reason comes with many kool synthesizers and reason is easier to start with logic is to pro I personally think that Cubase 4 on mac would be better but this is my personal opinion

If it's a brand new mac that you're getting, install windows on it via bootcamp and keep using FL. End of story.

I started on Reason and have since moved onto Logic Pro.

If you have only just started messing with production in April, I would recommend getting reason. It is alot easier to understand and you can still get great results.

As a 4 year old reason producer i would recommend you to go for Logic.

Logic leanring curve is maybe more difficuilt (was more harder for me when sean tyas tried to teach me) And i eventually gave up. I just missed the workflow of Reason.

But that's because i got used to Reaaon heh.

So if you want to get to used to something , i'd say go for something that gives you the most options, which is Logic.

Reason has 2 synths. But around end of the year new version of reason is coming whihc is providing a nice powerfull new synth which makes things more intresting.

You don't need many synths to create your sounds. Many people pump up many VSTs and think they can do it all now. But you only need less than a handfull good synths.

Though i wish i had acess to Atmosphere and Trilogy through reason

I'd personally go for logic if I were in a Macintosh switch -- just because I want access to my VSTs.
