this appregio bit is from Tiesto's Magik Journey track that I was mentioning earlier on.. and it seems this type of appregio had been used in many trance tunes.. I wonder if anyone knows how to achieve this same sounding? ... how does it work? it seems theres 2 layers workin on it.. one is the main lead sound and dunno the one below..
or maybe im wrong.. plz help

just take an phat synth.. and take some really short notez following each other in a quick tempo and different note heights..

i think that shud do it

the thing is named an "arpeggio"

usually it's a based on a chord, but you never use more than one note at a time (think monophonic). You alternate the 3 notes of which the chord consists in a 16th note grid, and avoid using the same note twice after each other. Some notes are 8th notes too usually yeh....alternating with 16th notes

so for example
you have "c" "e" "g" and you want to make an arpeggio of it. One example of how it could come out is this:

c e g c e g c g c e g c e g c g

that's 4 beats, every note is a 16th note (4 fit in a beat).
Lot's of reverb and delay and preferably detuned oscillators make this baby work.
