It's just a square wave with unison, maybe add a little distortion as well. I made the basic idea in Reason:

What synths do you use?

Unison with the detuning level a little less than halfway, Scream with Tape distortion, some EQ to bring out the low end.

thats hard trance.... if you want to make the real thing access virus.... let me put it this way a access virus synth even 10years old second hand one....is still more than the price of reason ....

why.... hardware fuckin rules that why.... hardware is for proffessionals... ever wonder why tiesto sasha bt, faithless, chemical brothers stayied on top of the game for so long...they use hardware...people will argue.... software os better...but software will never be as powerful as a hardware synth....i recommend you go you go and try out a virus....the synth will rip your head off with the power inside...its soooo powerful sometimes i think its alive

maximlee

p.s people may say but bt use software synths...yeah... ALL the aboves early stuff from 1995-2003...you can hear in there music when they turned TO software... in tiesto case...elements of life

You do know that Access Virus is a software synth right??

Its totally digital, the synth engine is software running inside the little red\black box!

Yes the Virus sounds better than most current vsts, that is because it has a dedicated processor and is designed to run on 100% of it.

Where as vsts could be designed to be just as powerful as a virus, they are not simply because it would max out even the most powerful computer. Because the computer has a million other tasks to do as well as run the vst.
That is the ONLY reason a Virus sounds better than native vst synths

So saying vsts will never be as good as a virus is quite a silly thing to say, just look at how far computing power has come already.
I remember not that long ago really when 32mhz and 16mb of ram was a super PC!
