my first car was a '91 Buick LeSabre - dark metallic blue with blue cloth interior, spoked chrome hubcaps, huge comfy bench seats, column shifter, tinted windows, power seats (to this day it's the only car i've ever had with power seats!), non-working A/C, rear drivers side door never opened, and sometimes the trunk wouldn't open either... anyway it was a fucking boat but i loved that thing to death.
i never did any stupid cosmetic shit to it, because i'm not an icy hot stunta... but i grew up with a bunch of guys who taught me how to drive [not like a woman] and since we were all best friends with nothing better to do, we ended up driving my car to a lot of places and did a lot of crazy stuff in it and to it.
so yeah, basically we were stupid enough to:
- race all the ricer kids in their Civics and Integras on the main strip that connected our city with a bunch of cities where our other friends lived (it was always fun to see the look on some stupid little wigger kids face when he realized he just got smoked by a little girl driving a tank with 3 huge black dudes in it)
- top it out to 115 mph on the Palisades Parkway (we had the speedometer buried since it only went up to 85mph, but had my friend Keith riding next to us in his Firebird so that we could gauge how fast we were going)
- do donuts anytime we were in a parking lot with loose gravel or snow
- take it offroading (i have nothing to say about this except... wow, impressive)
- park it in the lot of a Mexican grocery and crack the windows while my friend Dre pretended to beat me and i yelled out "ahhh! baby i'm sorry! stop!" just to see what peoples reactions were (lol, i still don't know why we thought this was a fun idea... chalk it up to being 17 and bored i guess)
we also used to sleep in it when we didn't feel like going home and didn't have anywhere else to hang out. there were so many nights that we used to pull it up behind the dugout of this little league park and just hang out there until we fell asleep. looking back it's probably a little weird, but it was no big deal to us.
i only had the car for 5 months before i totaled it (some stupid bitch that i went to school with decided to pass a school bus over double yellow lines and hit me head-on), and i went to the junk yard to pull off the hood ornament to keep as a souvenir of all the fun times i had in that car. to this day i still have the hood ornament - it's attached to my duffel bag which i use almost every weekend.
