Anyone else find themselves hopelessly addicted to this mod? Best HL mod out, imo

definetely much better then CS ( ).... too bad they made the kar THAT good...

hmm...i loved the earlier verion (1.2 or 1.3 i think it was)

the new v2.0 sux imo...yeah they've made the game more 'realistic' (away from the counter-strike type gameplay i guess)...but i just hate it...i liked it when it was just counter-strike with ww2 guns

also, the new maps don't compare with the old ones...hill!!! that was my favourite, and i think there's a new omaha, but i haven't played it

Yeah, DoD v1 was cool. I was addicted to it. DoD v2 isn't BAD, but it's just less fun. Who wants that sort of recoil on the guns?

I actually like the realism factor. true about the maps though. I only like dod_avalanche and dod_caen2

the realism, once you get used to it, makes the game even more fun. Every kill is much more satisfying, and it also prevents rambo-ing.

I used to play DOD a lot, i stopped playing it before the new version came out. I stopped because of CAMPERS!! in some of the DOD people can camp right next to where you respon and it just gets anoying. I dont think i will download the new version.

Its not nearly as bad now, thanks to weapon recoil and the sub MG's/MG's spread when constantly fired, so you cant just spray and pray

The worst camping is done by Machine gunners, who if allowed to setup in a good area can really hold a team down. Of course if your patient, you can sneak up and knife him

2.0 is a lotta fun, you really should try it
