new monitor

I was thinking of buying a new monitor. At the moment I have 19" LG which is fine but I want something bigger..

Would you guys recomment to get two 19" or one 24 inch ?

What about TV LCDs, hows the qualitiy if they're being used with computer?

I'm going to spend about 400-500€ on stuff..

Any help is appreciated

Regards

I'd definitely go for two 19" as that will give you much more screen space. Unless you go for a 24" wide screen (expensive). If you have dual head gfx card, definitely two 19".

I concur. Dual monitors are great. I'll never go back! I'd go for 3, but I fear I'd get some resulting neck problems.

Is your 19" widescreen?

I'm running a 21" widescreen and a 19" normal... screen. I sequence with the widescreen since it's, well, wide. I have VST's and the like in the normal screen. Works out nicely, so I'd take buying a widescreen monitor into consideration.

If your video card maker doesn't supply good dual monitor software support, consider a 3rd party program. Can't think of any off the top of my head, but they're out there.

It depends on what software you use. Cubase and FL have a TONNE of windows, so dual monitor is much better. Conversely, Reaper and Ableton use docking, so you would get a lot better use out of a 24".
