easiest and fastest way to make a dj booth (not buying) <---- a question

what is the quickest, easiest possible way to set up 2 cdjs and a mixer? (excluding using tables)...

i thought of using cmu (concrete blocks) stacking them for the legs and then putting a board over the top... any more ideas?

I use a folding table when I travel for house parties and such -_-

But at home I use a nice little booth/desk I found at Ikea. Works well

Concrete blocks is the best!!!!!! I did that in my studio. No worry about skips if you or someone else is dancing.

Just make sure you have the blocks over the floor joist if your not on the ground floor. The blocks r fucking about 27lbs each. My set up was about 900lbs.

there is no simple way without using a table. bottom line buy a cheap table or stand. i used a coffee table when i got my first pair of decks, and i had to stoop over whenever i wanted to mess with it.....pain in the ass. just get a decent table/stand from ikea or one of those folding stands which i think you can find online. make sure it's at least waist high though, its a pain to try to stoop over when youre mixing, you'll become a hunchback, not to mention it looks stoopid when you have to stoop over lol

Concrete blocks, plyboard and 2x4's is a versatile set up but not mobile for obvious reasons. You can actually create shelves underneath the booth using the 2x4's by running them thru the hollow concrete blocks.

I made a $30 investment and got myself a 2'x4' Folding Table at Walmart. It's durable and light that I can drag it along for house parties. Quick set up and tear down. I leave my cdjs and mixer in their road ready cases they are about belly button high once on top of the folding table.

Or you can just put a thin board on top of your kitchen sink. Then eat out everyday
