This is true.

The saddest thing about that whole saga was Bailey saying "he pulled out cuz he knew I would kick his ass" right after he won. We get one chance every 15 years to beat the U.S. at something and he blows off our reputation as friendly neighbors by doing something that is typical of the red, white and blue.
