ok first off if any of you have Taucher live at Mayday 2001 (if youd ont get it its a great set! ) at around 7.30 taucher gets that old sting song and mixes it over the top of kid vicious - reform! it sounds so awsome and im so inspired... i really wanna do something like that like find some really old tracks with catchy vocals or known hooks and put them over a suiting trance song (roxanne and reform sounds SO good together hats off to taucher) my question is technically how would i go about doing a smooth mix over the top obviously the selection of tracks would have to be so that each is ideal for the other ie. the breakdown in reform and the vocals for roxanne (7mins 30 mark :P) are really well suited but that aside and say i got a old record or something that i thought would sound really good mixed in with something new how would i go about it to make it sound as professional as taucher did! at first i thought it was like a bootleg or something it was that good! listen to it eh its amazing... also if anyone can think of some good record combinations of what i was talking about but also technically how it would be done thanx!!!!!
