Venus and Mars (98-03 era)

Just listening to an older set and I'm enjoying it much more. Is it because of the feelings and memories attached? Or could it be because of the era it came from...?

In this j00f set I'm listening to he plays Venus and Mars by Sander Kleinenberg... obviously not his style anymore, heh! I really enjoy these sounds, but it's almost as if the new wave of computer production and bedroom producers washed away ingenious tweaking of raw sounds and basic elements? And over compression??? There's just so much to add into the equation.

I think and I hope that the unmelodic trend of overproduced/less emotional music is on the way out and we go back into a happier span carried by the 80s music being washed in from shore Anyone think this is going to happen?
