After much ado, we have secured a venue for the Summer 2007 Atlanta TA meetup! The event will be held Saturday, August 25th from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Midcity Cafe. (New flyer -- see below.) What's even better is that if the event goes well, the venue owner would like to turn it into a monthly event!

The way we are going to arrange the line-up is that there will be 6 half-hour time slots available that anyone can sign up to spin during. I will keep the line-up up-to-date in my subsequent post. The slots will be given away on a first-come, first-serve basis. To sign up for a time slot, please send me a PM with the following information:

• Your Name (as you would like it to appear on the list/flyer)
  
• Preferred Time Slot
  
• Genre/Style that you will be spinning
  

While the time slots will be given to the first person to request each one, I may make adjustments to avoid clashes between what styles are being played. (i.e., I wouldn't want someone spinning minimalish stuff to have to mix into some hard trance and such.)

Midcity Cafe is located in Midtown (obviously) at: 845 Spring St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308. (Although, it is actually on the West Peachtree side of the building.)

The DJ booth setup includes two CDJ-1000 MK2's and a DJM-600. So, if you plan on spinning, plan to bring CD's, not vinyl. N00bs are encouraged to spin too. If you're reasonably good and this is your first chance to spin in public, why not have it be with a bunch of friends that are supportive and can provide you with feedback? (Reminder to n00bs - bring your own headphones.)

Same here. I'd also like to spin but I once again have work most likely. I'll also be bogged down with tons of school work I presume. Keep me in the loop about further gigs though.
