hey again :P

First time posting in the COR Figjhnfgmen forums here in a while... remember me? Photoshop monkey!

I just have a question, want to hear your take on it:

I'm looking to go to school next semester, but the issue here is in what field. I'll be straight up, i'm no math head, quite the opposite... Arts & Design is my niche, so I'm looking to push into something I would love to do for the rest of my life.

My parents wanted me to become a lawyer (thought about it, too black and white), but instead I want to pursue cinematography, fashion design, or game production.... and why not, astronaut.

Turning 20 this new years and it's going to be a big change leaving the teens. It's time to work hard, play hard -- but in what? Would you advise ditching a stable career for something you have a passion for?

Keep your hobbies as hobbies, but get the most tolerable job you can. I think you'll find that, once your hobbies become your job, you no longer enjoy them anyway.

What ? You've got it all backwards, s0n. If your hobby becomes your profession, then you essentially don't "work" for the rest of your life. You will be amongst the minority who actually say "I love my job". Most successful people follow a profession by natural choice and not by force or due to circumstances. You may be a successful either ways, but you will never be happy with your life if you don't pursue a profession that you love.
