a little update for NYTA

Just posted an October update on my Myspace, so I figured I'd keep you guys updated too, since many people (from out of and a few from NYTA) have been sending me messages about what's going on and what's next, etc... So here's the copy/paste from Myspace with what's going on with my music right now, take a gander, and keep your ears ready for what's next!!

Hey everyone, I hope I find everyone enjoying their Sundays, I know I am, despite the kick to the ribs I got in today's soccer match that my team lost 4-1 in. I've been getting so many messages asking me what's new, and what's coming out soon (someone said I'm slacking, I should be putting out hits haha).... Well, that whole process is a very long one, from the conception of a track to its release, so rest assured that I have worked as hard as I can to get the right sound in order to release a follow-up to Light At The End & Paradise Now. It's a case of "when it rains, it pours", so expect a Deadmau5-like flood of DJ Eco tunes and remixes happening all at once, within a couple months. Instead of keeping you on the edge asking for more info, here's some of the projects I've been working on, since Light At The End was released.

1. I remixed a track of a good friend of mine, Wandii from the UK, called "black & red". The original is an emotional and unique trancer, while my own remix was something a bit darker and more subdued. It is out on Moonrising Records!

2. I also remixed an upcoming tune from Polish DJ Maciej Panczyk, titled "Truth In My Dreams". It's a banging uplifting tune, one of my more energetic ones. Fans of my old tune "Art Attack" would love this one for it's style and bangingiciousnessity. Of course, Maciej provided a great melody to work with, and throughout September, my creativity made use of it! It will be out very soon on Hardwired Productions. Also with Maciej, I am working on a collaboration called "From Hard To Light" which has a cool vibe to it, not sure when it'll be out though!

3. After the remix for Maciej's tune, the owner of Hardwired Productions, Majai, asked me to remix his vocal banger, "Phoria", which features the beautiful vocals of Majai's singer, Anna. This will be finished in the coming weeks, and out soon. It'll join the release along with (I think!) an Airbase remix, Carl B remix, and the original of course.

4. I have an ongoing project with the great upcoming talent from the UK, Steve Allen., from Diverted Recordings. It is untitled, but one thing I can tell you about the track is that it's a BANGER, in the most British sense of the word hehe... More info to come.

5. Another project I'm working on (a bit more slowly however) is the collaboration between me and Cold Blue. You probably recognize him as the man behind the tunes "11 Days" & "Seven Ways" with Pedro Del Mar. It's untitled as well, and probably won't be finished until mid-winter, but look out for that!

6. Last but not least, my most exciting bit of information. Martin Roth asked me to remix his new upcoming hit, "Off The World", which is on Lunatique and just recently got picked up from Paul Van Dyk's Vandit! It's almost finished, and Martin loves it, so look out for that to be on some of your favorite shows soon enough. It will be released along with a Gareth Emery remix, and Super8/DJ Tab remix.

7. I've been very gig-heavy during these times, so for any of you in the Northeast United States, look out for some of my upcoming gigs in the next few months. I'm happy to announce I'll be playing on November 21 @ my favorite church, the Avalon club, playing alongside Martin Roth, and several other big names that are uncomfirmed but I'd get slapped if I released that info hehe.... After the Avalon gig, I have a few exciting parties I will be hosting both throughout New York City and New Jersey. I'm launching my own party which is called "ident:defy", throughout some great New York and Jersey venues, with some amazing local lineups. Keep checking out my profile for more info! Throughout the end of November and December, I have a few other gigs that I'm exciting about, playing alongside, and within parties, with names like Christopher Lawrence, Andy Moor, Sean Tyas, Simon Patterson, Kyau vs. Albert, and several other very big names that are still pending confirmation. Very exciting times!!

I hope to see some of you at the gigs!!! Keep tuned to my page for new songs, and always feel free to drop a line to say hi, advertise a new tune, or ask me a question!

all the best,
Marcello (DJ Eco)

PS - Update from the past hour: My tunes "Coracao" and "The Impossible" just got picked up by a label and will be released very soon Don't wanna give all details since I haven't filled contracts, but look out for those!!!
