Trance/House/Electro Charts?

Hey People!
I can't seem to find a decent trance/house/electro chart anywhere?
So does anyone here know any good charts of the latest tracks?
Thanks!

beatport.com has a bunch of half-decent/decent charts floating around for all genres.

But all they have is accordion music at the top.

You don't need charts.

Listen to music. Like what you like.

hey Ishkur

"You don't need charts.Listen to music. Like what you like."

With regards to you comment, i know what kind of music i like, but at the same time i can't just stick to a few particular artists. that's where the charts come in, from the charts is where i can get to know more artists & tracks of the 'kind of music i like'.

Charts don't do that.

Charts only validate what music you already know, in the eyes of others. Insomuch as discovering new and interesting music is concerned, charts are habitually useless.

If you depend on charts to introduce you to new artists, you likely don't have very interesting taste in music.

i see where your coming from.trust me i'm not the kind of person who listens to a particular genre/artist just because everyone else is.
but i however disagree with this statement

"If you depend on charts to introduce you to new artists, you likely don't have very interesting taste in music."

that does not apply to charts only, how about the radio, mtv & stuff?
how am i to find new tracks/artist from a genre i like then, or should i just continue listening to the tracks i already have & get new ones from the artists i already know?
i mean i totally don't understand what you mean by "i'm don't have very interesting taste in music just because i use the charts to help me discover something new."
to know what you like someone will have to listen to it first, & since i'm asking for trance/house/electro charts it's obvious that those are my favourites.
and i don't depend on charts by the way. just answer one question sir/mdm.
How am i suppose to discover new tracks/artists from my favourite genre then?
If any of my words offend you, i'm sorry. i'm just being honest.everything's cool!

Charts will only tell you what's popular, which doesn't necessarily mean good music. If you really want to "discover" new artists from the genres you like I suggest digging deep into sites like beatport, juno, audiojelly. I mean, really diggin deep into the recent releases (or not so recent) independent of if they make the charts or not. I've discovered some real gems that way.

Also crap. Don't depend on the radio or TV either.

Have you tried actually going to a record store? Or registering to some record pools? Mailing lists? Google? One of my favorite things to do is go on Soulseek and type in random words, and see what music comes down the pipe. You'd be amazed what you can find if you search for genre keywords instead of artists or songs. (ie: search for "disco" and see what hidden gems you can find that aren't found on any "best of the 70s" comps).

Even better: Go to clubs. Talk to people. Ask them what they're into. Trainspot the DJs records. Talk to him after. He might give you a demo. Go on message forums like this one. Try to keep expanding, broadening your pallette. As a rule of thumb, try to keep moving, keep digging, keep listening. Gravitate towards names and labels you're unfamiliar with. If you stumble upon an artist you know or an alias of an artist you know, move on. If not, give him a try. But always keep moving.
