Review: Sasha @ Tribe (October 2007)

Just got home now.

What a fuckin' night. Sasha, raises the bar again.

He ended the night with Groove Armada - Song 4 Mutya (Boris Dlugosch Remix) and Pryda - Muranyi (Pryda Re-Edit). Not sure what the encore was.

Hope Julius and Alex, can ID some tunes.

More to come later on.

I'll post some video clips on facebook. One thing there will be one video clip, with the most blowing tune of the night (imo)

Was nice to see some TA's there.

Out of all the times I've seen Sasha, this was by far the darkest/dirtiest he's ever been.

He opened with some smooth, melodic (yet very danceable) tech house, which I sort of expected, he's Sasha after all, all about the melodies.

But wow, after about 4-5 tunes it turned into fucking chuggy-ass-stomp-your-foot-on-the-floor-so-hard-your-foot-breaks techno.

I was expecting lots of prog house, since that's what he's been pushing lately, but WTF, SASHA PLAYING SICK ASS TECHNO AT TRIBE HYPERCLUB, WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!!!!!

He played COMA, WHICH WENT FUCKING OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF, he went to poop during it and everyone was just screaming his name during the whole tune, wtfwtfwtf.

Some other sick spots:

SuperMayer - The Two Of Us
Davis & May - Neotron (Ryan Davis Edit)
Air Conditionne (That fucking mad banging remix)
Swoop (Stephan Bodzin) - Superlicious (One of the four or five remixes, lol)

Some others that I forget the names of, but really, the set was jam packed with mad gems that only Sasha could find, crazy bassy techno with an equally crazy melody somehow, go Sasha, totally caught me off guard.

It was my first night back partying, and I picked a fucking good one, lots of friends there, really had a great time, thank you Tribe, Sasha did an AMAZING thing there last night, I hope everyone that was there realized just how intense that set was. Sasha at his absolute best in my opinion.

Lots of Sasha fans there too, diehard ones, hehe, some guy next to me kept yelling to his friend that Sasha had just played "THAT TRACK FROM THE FUCKIN COMPILATION BRO". Hahahahaha.

Also, Sasha was a total zombie as usual the first half of his set, then towards the end he really started to party and was doing some mad hops in the booth and clapping a lot, for those of you that think a DJ dancing is important, He was fuckin ROCKING.

Right now, I am going through about 3 Sasha sets to try and ID tunes, that I remember hearing from last night. I might widen the search from sets that he did a couple months back to help.

[TRACKS - I remember]
- Deetron feat DJ Bone - Life Soundtrack (Radio Slave Remix)

[TRACKS - I think he played]
- The Field - Over The Ice
- Adam Freeland - Silverlake Pills (Gui Boratto Remix)
- Jürgens - Love It

I hope someone can ID this tune.

Download (Yousendit)

Sorry for the horrid quality, wasn't in front of the booth at the time.

I honestly can say this tune, ripped a new hole for everyone.

I hope Chloe or John, can help ID this tune.

One thing, the track selection was amazing. Would have been nice to have people not whistle and shit.

One dude with glow sticks, that was uhhh .... different.

i left at 2am. i liked him waaaay better last time tho...

dude the stuff he was opening with mon dieuuuuuuuuuuuu now THAT was just classical, exquisite electronic music. damnnnnn it was good...it was like all these symphonies into 1 track...a true master.

right b4 i left, around 145am...he ripped it. just totally and utterly ripped it. alex told me one of the tracks was called "two of us", dunno who it's by though. it's got like these xylophone notes in it...anyways defo one of the top track for me of the night even though i didnt stay for all of it.

oh and brad copeland...dude brad played a really sweet warm up set. some nice warm grooves in there; meshed right in with what an opening mix should be.

nice seeing the familiar faces!! overall amazing music but not as to my own personal tastes as the last time.

He spent most of the night in front of the booth, probably used his cell phone to record the audio. Just hope he got all of it.

One thing when can I see that picture of me on the sub? bahahaha

Honestly. I did not know, she was wearing a micro-mini.
