a record should never ever cost over 100quid, and that's if it's mint condition, everything above it is pisstaking on a royal level, no matter what it samples, how rare it is or anything

My thoughts exactly, thank you.

I've been surfing discogs for ages and this is probably the most expensive record i've seen.

A few samples plus copyright issues does not equal 300 by a longshot.

I agree with you. €300 for a record, any record really is just beyond me.

I've seen various collectors' item vinyls gone for over £2000 (~€2800) on eBay but besides them, this is among the most expensive ones i've now seen for sale on discogs from more than one seller and each having about the same price tag. Some insane individual sellers on discogs have commonly available vinyls for sale for even more insane prices tho while the average retail prices for the same vinyls are like 1/10 or less of what they're wanting.

Funnily enough one of the sellers of the Bye Bye Berlin 12" has also this for sale for a mere €819!!!

I have collected music more or less for about 20 years and have never paid more than about €35 for a single record. There is no way i would never pay over €100, let alone €300 or more, for any record no matter how rare or how cool of a bootleg it was.

Whats the point? you'll be too scared to play it in case you scratch it and it will lose value if you do. If your'e looking for an investment, i wouldnt think vinyl is a very good idea, although im sure there are exceptions.

Some tool on another forum I read paid 800 euro for an original copy of Layla - Layla, when he already had four copies.

He divulged that he actually wants seven copies in total... simply because seven is his favourite number.
