Hey guys, thanks for the tips! ( I actually might send a copy to get mastered, so I'll PM you in a little while and see what the difference is! As far as mixes go, I think I know of (a ) problem that I have... I have the demo of Ozone3 and I've been a/b ing my stuff with pro mixes, and I notice that the RMS spectrum is much smoother. For some reason, even though all my tracks are eqed, compressed, there are still little teeny tiny valleys and peaks (too many to use individual points of EQ to tame them). Granted, I can make my overall curve fit the 6db rule and match up w/ pro tracks, i just notice that pro tracks have much less peaks and valleys across the spectrum... I know what you are thinking, that these peaks and valleys are bigger than they are, but, I can't seem to get them down. A PVD track, for example, the rms spectrums is almost a line, barely ANY micro peaks and valleys at all... how do i tame this? Is this in the mix or mastering process? I can't even TELL right now if my well-balanced mixes are good, on account of these micro bumps. Any ideas? I'll see if I can post a screen shot of what I'm talking about...
