So a cop is behind me for a bit. i just passed THAT^^^ speedlimit sign when he turns his lights on me, I look down at my speed and its 50. so i pull over and he tells me i was speeding, doing 52 in a 40. Im like what the shit. I point out to him and I tell him about that sign that was still view, and he just raises his voice to me and tells me that "ITS A 40!" and dosent even turn around to see it or anything. And then he gets all my info, hands me the ticket and he leaves.

So ima take this shit to court, but how would i go about doing this?

i would check your state laws with regards to work zones as some places have legislated speed reductions in road work zones to protect work safety, it might be 40mph in your state, which would mean your fucked. otherwise just make sure you have a a way to prove taht that sign was located where you were pulled over and bring the photos in as evidence for your case.

Get a traffic attorney for sure, as if you go there yourself, they will pwn u in most cases. The attorneys are cheap as well, usually around $100 for their services.

isn't a work zone always 35-40 on non-highways?

Would it be worth paying an attourney $100 bucks or more, or would it be worth simply paying your ticket? 12 mph over the speed limit shouldn't get you more than $150 bucks.

I suppose it would be worth it, the attourney could probably have the points removed from your license also.

It might be, around here speeding fines are automatically doubled in work zones.

I don't know about other states, but at least in Florida you get points against your license if you get a ticket. If you go to an attorney, you pay them the $100 and you get no points.

And yes, work zones usually cost a lot more.

To be honest, I really don't know wtf the attorney does. I thought I had a decent argument when I got a ticket for running a red light, and I was about to tell the attorney what happened and he was pretty much like, "don't worry about that, just fax me the ticket and give me your cc number."

Next thing I know I get a letter saying that the ticket was removed.

If the speed limit is 55 & the WORK LIGHT is according to your pic u need to drop u speed to 40. Its a construction/ work area.

The attorney is good cause you can forget about the issue altogether. They will do everything for u and simply mail you a letter saying you won, and best part is, it is completely removed from your record...like it never happened to begin with. If you pay the ticket, in essence you are admitting guilt and it will show on your record. regardless if you go the driving school route or not. Count on your insurance skyrocketing as well.
