Hey Guys
Just thought I'd throw this up to see how everyone is doing. I'm hearing alot of my friends who work in and around Lake Forest, Aliso, Irvine are being sent home today, along with a few of my friends up north.
Kind of reminds me of those fires around the Anaheim area about 4 years ago
Just be safe guys...

not near Irvine but the fires in Saugus/Agua Dulce/Santa Clarita are bad as well...across the street from my house we saw flames going up a hillside. We have fires in all directions of us. The air quality is so bad yet people are outside looking at a fire(woo) like its a spectator sport.
My husband went to our house last night to grab stuff for our kids and grab our dogs. We didnt want them around with the bad air. My hubby and I stayed home last night to see the flames near our house. We woke up to water dropping planes and helicopter...stayed home til late this morning. I came to see my kids, my hubby went to work for a short bit. I'm seeing more street closures so I dont know if I can get back home. I dont have any clothes...I guess I have to go shopping!

I work in Lake Forest and I can barely breathe in my office and all our doors are closed.
I went to Tustin for an errand at lunch time and the air wasn't so bad.
My boss lives in Trabuco Canyon and her husband is staying at home waiting to see if they have to get evacuated.

Im at Camp Pendleton and there is smoke and ash everywhere. We got off work early and the way things are going we are probably going to be secured tomorrow too....

This is probably the worst fire I remember. I grew up in Irvine and aside from some isolated fires last year and the larger on in North OC around 03-04, I really can't remember it being this bad.
This almost goes back to the bel-air fires in the 60's... but of course Im sure we're all too young to remember that.. .. right?

Yea, I work out in Agoura Hills. Big nasty orange clouds coming from both the south (malibu) and the north (canyon country and such). Basically surrounded by the junk. Not as dark as yesterday, when lookin over the mountains was like looking into Mordor.

I think the Malibu and Laguna Beach fires of '93 and '94 were worse, property damage wise. But after these fires are done this week, we'll probably have a worse outcome.
