Jag skulle nog vilja säga att "gå på högvarv" kan betyda mer att en person till exempel "har väldigt mycket att göra", är stressad... "Han går på högvarv".
Vissa meningar/uttryck kan man inte bara översätta rakt av för då låter de jäkligt knas!
Hajjar du? (slang for "do you understand") = Do you shark (word for word translation)
Ingen fara på taket (expression for It's alright, I can handle it) = There is no danger on the roof (word for word translation)
Other stupid translations... enjoy 
Behåll växeln, det är jämnt (keep the change) = Keep the gear, it is always
Än sen, då? (so what) = Then then, then?
Det har gått en propp i köket (a fuse broke in the kitchen) = A plug has walked in the kitchen.
Det killar (it tickles) = It boys!
Jag vill gärna ha mer paj (I would like to have some more pie)= I want brain have more broken.
Kan du se knölvalarna? (can you see the humpback whales) = Can you see the bastard-elections?

En snuskhummer (pervert) = A filthy lobster.

Sköt om dig (Take care) = Shot around yourself!
Se dig inte om (don't look back) = Look you not if!
Ta dig i brasan! (Up yours) = Take yourself in the fire!
Slå dig ner och ta för dig av kakorna (Have a seat and a cookie) = Hit you down and take for you of the cookies.
Nära ögat skjuter ingen hare = Close to the eye shoots no rabbit.
Vad är du för en, jag känner inte igen dig (Who are you, I don't recognize you?) = What are you for a one, I dont feel again you!
Gör inte om det (Don't do it again!) = Do not if it!
