Long sets on ipod nano

I've been thinking of getting an ipod nano for running, but wondered how well this player handles long mp3 files (e.g., 1-2 hour DJ sets). Does it automatically resume playing from power off to next power on? How quickly can you jump ahead in a file? Any other players I should be considering given it will mostly be used during exercising?

long files are fine on the bigger ipods. if dont change song, power down and up it should be at the same spot.

as for skipping ahead, its easy and can be quite fast. on the "now playing" song screen hit the middle button then you just scroll the touch wheel to fast forward or rewind.
too easy

im not sure if its all the same on a nano but i would assume so.

How fast is the fast forward? I'm guessing there's no 'jump-to' feature to let you jump to a certain time in a track?

I picked up a nano last night and see what you're talking about now. Works pretty slick. I'm not much of a fan of iTunes yet, but the ipod itself seems like a keeper.
