Ableton + Midi Question. Please Help

i have some sounds that i have made with ableton live 6. i have my midi controller connected (m-audio oxygen 49 keyboard) and everything is working fine. i use some of the keys on the keyboard to trigger each sound from ableton to play, but there is always a split second between pressing the key and the clip starting. how can i make it start instantaneous once i press the key?

this is latency, you need to reduce your audio buffer length.

no one can tell you how to do it, because every soundcard is different. you'll have to work this out for yourself. if you're not using a pro-level soundcard with it's own asio driver, you should get asio4all.
