Basically shitted on everyone who dared to put Tiesto, Armin, PvD, or Oakenfold next to him or ahead of him. Why am I saying this? I don't think any of the guys I just mentioned will ever craft and album like This Binary Universe. Now I know that the album is question is not for your average trance/dance music fan, but for us who really take music seriously, BT blessed us with one to remember.

Yes and he produced scores for numerous movies as well, including The Fast and The Furious and Stealth, but that's actually the point. BT is a producer and a fuckin' good one. As a DJ not so much, but on the production tip very few of his fellow contemporaries come even close. You need to be on Prince or Brian Eno level to mess with BT's skill as a producer. The man is just nuts.

I don't doubt he's a good producer, ESCM is one of my all time favourite edm CDs I was just saying he's done tracks with the artists you mentioned, and more commercial pop too. I still haven't heard This Binary Universe but I don't know if I'll like it.
Production wise he's always been well ahead of the curve. If I hadn't heard Flaming June and you told me it was made last year I'd believe it, don't think there's any other tracks from 97 I could say that about.

Yeah that's true, he's one of the more innovative and technologically literate producers out there. Some say he' too technical but I think he's just brilliant. He can manage to make a track both technologically innovative and emotional at the same time.

ANYTHING that BT did prior to This Binary Universe is not even relevant or worth discussing next to This Binary Universe. Other LPs were mostly prog trance/prog breaks albums and yes there was some thinkinking outside of the box, but nothing similar to TBU. You gotta listen to John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Prince, Frank Zappa, Sigur Ros(all who are not EDM acts) and so much other shit to truly understand TBU and what BT wanted to do with it.

Check out this awesome melodic uplifting drum & bass mix. You'll probably like it even if you don't normally like drum & bass. It's good.....no it's not by me but it's by an awesome friend whos mixes i like. Click the link!
BT can make music with a barbie synth guitar toy, he just splits the thing open, tunes it and then uses it. and what a mofu........ way of using it!, and if you doubt BT's habilities, why dont you try his set at Two Tribes? There was a power outtage and the guy kept it up with a keyboard till it came back. XD
Also all the love in the world for TBU, and Movement in Still life the UK edition.
