Burial - Unite
Wow, this is utterly beautiful music. Is there any more dubstep that sounds like this?
The whole tune is on youtube:

Besides his other works, no. He's truly unique.
He has an album coming up in late 2007, so look out for that. Also, the Ghost Hardware EP is out now on Hyperdub.
EDIT: For other emotionally charged dubstep, check out Mala (of Digital Mystikz). It's not too much like Burial though.
Mala - Neverland
Mala - Forgive
Digital Mystikz - Anti War Dub
Digital Mystikz - Misty Winter
Fat Freddy's Drop - Cay's Crays (Digital Mystikz Remix)

Thanks! I thought you would probably be the only one here, who could help
Shame there's not much more of this melancholic dubstep, though. Songs like this would be perfect cross-over anthems.
I'm gonna check out your recommendations, looking forward to hearing the album later in the year.

You're familiar with El-B I take it? Might want to look into some of his tracks, they're a bit more dated-sounding and definitely different with the more traditional dubstep (as they're from an earlier era). Also, if you don't mind soulfulness, both MJ Cole and Groove Chronicles make some blissed out 2-step.

Me too. Actually, I downloaded the whole Untrue and it's waiting for the first listen. It'll be my first contact with dubstep so I'll post up some impressions later

I was ready to write off dubstep as little more than a puzzling fad, but Burial definitely changed my mind.
Burial kind of makes me think of Boards of Canada. Similar melancholy, unsettled vibes and wobbly, crackly, rough production. I like it.
