are these really monitors?

hey guys ive just won an auction on ebay for what was described as tannoy nfm2 nearfield monitors!

"Tannoy System 2 near field passive monitors, nice sounding monitors, suitable for bi-wiring. Good condition, home use only etc "

only ive searched on the net and cant find any product reviews for them! are they actually even monitor speakers or is this dude havin me on?



apprciate it if anyone cud shed some light on this thx

just looking for a bargain, never hurts to have extra speakers to monitor my tunes on, i just cant find any information on these speakers, i bid from work today on my mobile phone and never expected to win to be honest

thanks for your reply palm, i dont think they are monitor speakers they look very simalar to the tannoy mercury speakers but with a plastic front instead of wood, but i only paid £26 pound for them so theyll do just as an extra pair of speakers to hear my mixes on, i currently use headphones (beyer dt770) for my mixing but im splashing out on some yamaha hs80ms in a few weeks!

I strongly recommend against doing your mixing with headphones, very misleading IMO.
