01. Tears for Fears - Shout (Skylark Remix)
Fantastic remake. The Vocals are perfect..
Mixing into the next track is very nice.
02. Mendo - Watermelon (Mendo's Mix)
Nice drums, african style make's me skipping
Mixing into the next track also very very nice, thumbs up!
03. Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence (16B Remix)
What a classic, alltime favourite!!!
This remix sounds new to me. How old is this?
The balance is a little bit on the left side?!.. on purpose or is this the track?
Mixing not the best, but not bad.. but I think it cames to fast in.
04. Origene - Sanctuary (Harry Lemon Remix)
An alltime favourite, too, but I think this track isn't fit enough at this place.
Mixing into the next track sounds nice.. not the best one, but also not bad mate
05. Andre Absolut - Step Through
Nice trancy tune. Sounds like a typical Andre Absolut track. Good choice!! mixing ok.
06. New Order feat. Ana Matronic - Jetstream (Jacques Lu Cont Remix)
The guitar break sounds wicked!!
One of my favourite bands by a long way.
Mixing: very nice..
07. Hughes & Spier - Helm Deep
Sounds also a bit like an african track .
mixing ok
08. Luke Chable pres. Quest - The Shepherd
One of Luke's best work in the past 2 years.
The melody parts make's me !!
Mixing very nice.
09. Snake Sedrick & Khans - Circular (Cassino & Laben Hurry Mix)
I know this inside out. I've heard it ever so often.
Nice choice!!
The mixing into the c. cambas is very nice.
10. Christian Cambas - Flight 403 (Paul Rogers Mix)
Good choice for the end. Sounds very relaxed.
Finally, I would like to say you've done a good job.
Was this mix made with tt/mixer or via pc (software)?
points:
track selection 8/10
mixing: 7/10
buildup: 5/10,
I know it's very hard to create a good buildup in 1 hour, so I'm not a friend to make 1 hour mixes.
Well anyway, nice job mate
cheers Michael

A lovely mix there.
What I especially liked about it was the fact that the mixes were kept to the point, and the tracks didn't go on for too long. Sometimes, progressive DJs get obsessive with having phrase perfect, in key, four minute mixes. That's great, but very boring if you aren't a prog anorak. Fortunately, you've not done that, so it's a really accessible mix.
Not only that, the tracks are great, particularly the Tears For Fears, Depeche Mode and New Order remixes.
Well done.

What a wicked day!! It's 15 degrees outside, got a 1/2 day extra off work (paid!) and quite possibly the best/most constructive and potentially helpful critique of any mix I've ever asked for feedback on. w00t!
I'm not sure when Enjoy the Silence (16B remix) was released, I picked it up last year in December. As far as the balance goes, maybe its the track, or maybe my software. I didn't do it on purpose, however.
Origene - Sanctuary!!! I love this track. It was Sarah who got me hooked on this, which seems very odd as I HATE vocals in my trance. The classic remakes like Shout and Enjoy the Silence, and anything by New Order would be exceptions, rather than rules.
And You're right, Sanctuary doesn't quite fit in with the style of the rest of the mix, but I like to try and 'tie things together' nicely. As this was a tribute to the DJ who got me hooked on the song, I thought I'd throw this in. She used the Ivan Gough remix on a couple of her sets.
New Order is my all-time favorite band. I've been listening to these guys since 1988 and been loving them since! This remix by Jacques Lu Cont is absolutely fantasitc.
Helm Deep feels/sounds almost house-y, but I still have a hard time picking up when it mixes in (and I made it!). This transition is over 2 minutes long and IMO one of my best in the mix.
The Shepherd is probably my favorite Chable track/remix. The melody also makes me . This song has got a lot of power, for lack of a better word. Transition into Circular is my best on the mix IMO.
Circular (Cassino & Laben Hurry mix) is absolutely Eargasmic!!! Love this song, and you for introducing me to it! This song ranks up there with my all-time fav's including Enlightened Evolution by Astral Projection and Voodoo People by the Prodigy. Amazing track!
Flight 403 (Paul Rogers mix) I also thought was a good way to end it. With so much power coming from The Shepherd and then to get punched in the face for a few minutes from Circular, I thought a mellow yet groovy track would complete my tribute beautifully.
I don't mix live, but with mp3s and software. I use an older version of MixMeister.
I appreciate the time you spent listening and giving me good/honest feedback. Thanks Michael!
Cheers,
THC

Thanks a bunch Chris. You replied whilst I was typing out my reply to McP68. I'm totally on-board with your liking of the Tears for Fears, Depeche Mode and New Order tracks. If it weren't for Circular, every one could be the best track on here!
Cheers,
