I'm excited about a bunch of the new features with this update, specifically the new audio engine. Hopefully rendering tracks in Ableton will no longer mean rendering SHIT. it will also be nice to have sidechaining built into the native application.

Waiting to hear about potential compatibility issues before I take the plunge.

Reason 4 is out too, they completely redid their sequencer, so it finally looks like it's not a pile of shit. The sequencer actually looks a LOT like ableton's. This is really good news for me as I use Reason... now only they would fix their rendering so it doesn't sound like everything was made in a tin can.

it does sound rather tinny,

side chaining is a sick new feature for ableton.
