American hip-hop is getting stale, but the rest of the world is really picking up the slack in my opinion. Originally I was just going to make an M.I.A. appreciation thread, but there's a lot of other good stuff out there as well. A lot of it is incredibly socially-relevant too, which is something that is missing from much of the more commercialized American variety.
