last night i went to bed at 1am and fell asleep pretty much right away and woke up at 10am. quite a bit of sleep and had a nice last day of class and studying. however its 415am right now and im wide awake. you'd think that after 18 hrs of being up, id be ready for bed.
when u cant sleep and you really want to, what methods do you use?

Do you have a regular sleep pattern? Many students don't (I used to have a very irregular sleep pattern - I used am a student), and this can cause insomnia.

not trying to hijack, but lately I've been waking up in the morning and in the middle of the night with my heart flying out my chest, I literally have to lay there for 5-10 minutes taking deep breaths to calm myself down anyone had this before?

I typically get out of bed, glass of red wine, or something like that, and just lie back down. It usually does it.
As for the panic attacks at night, I dunno, could just be repressed anxiety..?

It has been happening to me too, but not everynight. It's like I wake up with a heart attack for no reason.

Are you writing exams right now?
If so, stress is most probably the reason.
