I had a blast!! It was almost as good as Ferry Corsten. I got to the club at around 12:30 and the line took a bit longer than usual. This was the first time I didn't buy advanced tickets and the first time they let people with advanced tickets walk right in.
When I first walked in the music wasn't bad at all. I think it was Dj Theo, but I was enjoying his progressive alot more than usual. The system was alot louder and crisper. I guess they buffed it up for Drapers return.
At around 2:00 Alex Gold came on and I was really impressed. He played euphoric trance. Mostly anthems but he took you on a journey. Some songs that stuck in my mind were:
Ferry Corsten - Punk
Dj Tiesto - Lethal Industry (S & G Mix)
Agnelli & Nelson - Everyday 2002 (Alex Gold Dub mix into Vocal Mix)
I think he played Awakening
Anyone else who was there let me know what other songs you remember. I knew them all when I was there and now feel braindead.
The visuals was pretty cool. They hung huge screens around the dancefloor and projected trippy images on them. I only remember them using them when Draper came on though. Lots of people and little room to move. Some guy actually began raving with lit sparklers attached to strings. He was told to stop after his 3rd time. I left 30 minutes after Draper came on. He was playing his usual stuff (he looked pretty scared when his needle started skipping right at start of his set)
Thanks for review. Alex Gold is good.. I missed him in Exit though..

how is that in a club environment? I am curious as i don't really think this is a club song...
what did you think?
To tell you the truth, this song has been given too much hype. I got real excited when it came on because I knew what it was, and was curious how it would sound. It would probably be cool to hear if the Dj has been playing shit all night, but Alex Gold thru it down near the end of his set after all his euphoric trance. It really wasn't what I was in the mood to hear.
