Well, here is my critique...

To me it doesnt sound too bad in terms of levels / sounds used, but to me, the song just does not scan well, there are to many ups & downs which kinda throws you off the rhythm of the track.

Also, I wasnt a great fan of the kick that you have used, and didnt really like the bassline for the first 3.30 mins - it sounds ok, but just dont like the keys / flow of it.

I think maybe you should start off with just one key change on the bassline and add percussion / some filtering to add tension to the track upto the breakdown, I think this would make it flow better, I think the whole section from 1.50 to 3.30 just sounds like "filler", and think you should make the whole introduction about a max of 2 mins then drop to the bit at 3.45.

I like the bit from 3.50 to 5.10 but am not keen on the drums coming in for a few bars and then going away again, I think the whole section could be slightly altered to add a bit more tension, then drop into the 5.10 bit.

At 6.30 it starts to sound just a little bit bloated, I see what you are trying to do, and I like it, but maybe altering the levels a little will just highlight the extra melody you bring in.

At 7.25 I think the melody should repeat with a filter fade out to lead onto an outro and the song will be finished, as it stands it kind of drags a little and ends a bit abruptly.

I hope you find the comments useful and not disrespectful as these are my honest opinions litening with "fresh" ears.

PS. If you done the song in reason, you could throw us the .rns and I could to the edits for you to show you what I mean, just an idea.

All the best!

Thank you so much. I would even agree with your opinion: to cut it, its too long or sth. But I wanted it to be long. That is why people don't want to listent to it :P

I kind of liked the bassline/kick, to be honest. However, I do not like how the bassline was introduced, nor do I appreciate the "filler" elements that caused the intro to drag out for so long.

The climax after the breakdown was sounding pretty good to me except that there was a few muddy parts that were causing the bassline to bury itself.

I agree about the "bloatedness" at 6:30-ish. Now things are very muddy and I think your levels could have been looked at better.

I also think that the outro was a tad ackward. The melody should have started to bow out sooner or filter out.

It's very happy trance... Not entirely my cup of tea. You made a good effor -- good idea, some of the production could use a few overhauls.

By bloated, I mean that there just sounds like there is too much going on, I think it could be fixed if the levels where slightly adjusted so all the sounds fitted in the mix comfortably.

I didnt like the kick because, a) a little too hard for my liking, b) the tail of the kick has a little kind of click or some sort of sound which I was not too keen on (it doesnt sound too bad once the track is in full swing, but I dont like it at the beginning.

I think with some work this could be quite a nice tune, but I think there needs to be quite a few adjustments to the arrangement.

I wouldnt mind having a go at re-working this slightly if you wanted to send me a midi file ?, let us know...
