Uninstalling Norton Corporate

OK, please can we skip the "Norton is crap" part?

Basicailly, I recently reinstalled XP Pro on my laptop, and Norton Corpoarate trial was part of that. So I bought a home version, and it was running before on the previous installation.

But now, in order to install the home version, I need to remove NAV Corp, but even the Norton Software removal tool won't work because it says Norton Corp is still installed and I need to remove it from Add/Remove Programs, but it doesn't appear in there.

I've deleted all traces from the registry, and manually deleted the symantec folders, and stopped all the services, but it is still detecting it somehow. How can I get rid of it, short of a reformat?

Thanks in advance!
