[Review] M.I.K.E. @ LOVE 12.15.07

I'm glad I skipped out on CG yesterday to hear him play again, no matter what style or genre the man is at the moment he sure does manage to turn it out and then some... Great party by the Core guys even for this shitty weather still was a great turn out . Caught a little bit of Marcello's and Mark Ian's set and wow was it just banger after banger, like always good seeing the regular's out in full force and look forward to hopefully seeing you guys at my bday on the 29th for KvA and Ronski!

I as well had an awesome time. MIKE had a great tracklist. All I can remember is Strange World, Sunrise at Los Palomos, and Someone.
The sound system was EXCELLENT! One of the best I've ever heard. The staff was very friendly too. Great time, great price. I wonder why there weren't that many people there. Maybe the weather?

Hands down not only one of the best M.I.K.E. sets I've ever heard (out of the dozens I have downloaded, heard live), but took Preach's spot as top 3 set of the year... He was THAT good... and a true DJ's DJ... one of the few guys not playing a "what's what" in trance playlists that can all be ID'd... He mixed classics with new upfront stuff, and I have no complains about the set... I'm glad that I caught the fact that he turned the high frequencies down all the way at one point by mistake (leaning on part of the mixer with his midi controller), told Zack to tell the sound guy and sure enough I was right haha!! M.I.K.E. was amazing, and one of the nicest guys in the business, time and time again.. I know he had a BLAST, loved every minute of playing at LOVE, loved the grittiness and underground vibe to it... LEGEND!

i def agree about the underground vibe being present last night, MIKE def rocked it out, from what I could tell everyone was dancing nonstop and having a GREAT time. Loved the classics, that was the icing on the cake Def a good mix of people out there to support, good work CORE in getting the word out!!! Great job with the tunes in the CAVE, was DEF feeling it.

Glad we decided to stop by and good seeing everyone

the crowd picked up a lil but not to where it should have been but the crowd that was there was deff a music orriented crowd they knew who the dj was
i gotta give props to all the other djs not just mike
frequency frank i think it was who was opening up in the side room
wow such great techy/minimal/progy stuff i was deff grooving
i went in and heard zack playin some real deal hard stuff i was like dammm lol
mike came threw at like 12:30 i was talkin to him for a bit about stuff, all i can say is that 2008 is gonna be a big year for him
anyway madd cool guy i got to meet his wife who is madd cool also shes from queens i was like dam its a small world iam from brooklyn ha ha
anyway mike came on and just murdered it he played alot more trance stuff that i was expecting usually he shys away but he was throwing down some good stuff, but the dark ass proggy mixed with tech
wow and he dropped the new plastic boy track shit was tight
then closed out with strange world and sunrise at palamos i think i might have shed a tear (yea i know iam so emo lol) but yo those tracks have sooo much emotion to them
then eco came on and was spinning some hard stuff good to see you showing your full capabilitys not just a opener
last but not least gabe up in the front room workin the abeteion lol

overall it was a great night i had alot of fun between the crowd and all the nytas, the music

I think I had a small orgasm to those songs

Question: What was the very first song MIKE played? That song was awesome.
