I posted a home theater system ad on craigslist and I got atleast 5 mails asking me to courier it differently to UK/US/Africa. Is this some kind of scam or something you'd know of?

lemme re-frame, I posted an ad on craigslist and i got a mail from person saying " Is this item still available? I could pay you via paypal - but could you courier it to my cousin in Africa?"
Some how I am shit scared when some one asks me on the internet to courier something in Africa. I don't want any money launderers linking to me. I got atleast 5 e-emails asking for the same. Seems some like of new scam starting on the internet.

I am but waiting tirelessly since last week but this is the only enquiry I am getting here, hence wondering as it all smells fishy to me.

Don't do it.
Seriously.
Paypal is cool and all (lol) but as a seller you have almost zero protection, unless you're trading through ebay.
Most likely scenario:
1. You receive the paypal payment
2. You send the goods to Africa
3. A couple of days later, the buyer starts a Paypal dispute, for whatever reason. This will immediately freeze the funds in your paypal account that are associated with this transaction (even if you've already withdrawn the cash, paypal will just put your account into the negative, and they WILL come after it later).
4. If they're even halfway decent at scamming, you're fucked. Completely fucked.
5. Don't do it.

1 week is not that bad..... anyhow piece of mind is better worth more than feeling uneasy.

Yeah, don't do it. I also just generally hate paypal. They're essentially a bank, right? But wait, they don't have to abide by federal banking regulations of any fucking kind...awesome!
