So does this ever happen to you?

You're driving somewhere blasting your favorite track minding your own business. Then some asshole(s) pull up next to you and start pointing and laughing because of the music you're listening to! It drives me f*cking crazy!

Now mind you... I live in Athens, Ga. So the only accepted music is rap or jam bands... Eww... I f*cking hate jam bands.

I just hate how people don't/won't accept my music because it's not some guy rapping about Money, Big Butts and, Drugs. As soon as they hear that 4 on the Floor kick pattern, they just call it bad music and walk away. Why can't people just be more Open Minded?

Now I'm not going to say that there is not a FEW rap songs I like. Lupe Fiasco has excellent music, because he doesn't sing about the same old money and drugs thing.

I'm also not going to say that I'm not impressed by the musician's talent in jam bands. They are actually really good. I just don't want to hear a f*cking one hour guitar solo!

BUT PLEASE!!!

GIVE DANCE MUSIC A CHANCE!!!

I know the way EDM is made is not your traditional playing a Oboe or plucking a guitar. But it still takes talent to write our music. There is just as much thought and emotion put into a Dance track then there is put into a beautiful rock ballad.

Does this happen to anyone else? Or maybe you share the same feelings as I do. If so, I'd love to hear about it.

Get over it. Why does it matter what someone else thinks about something that you like? Why should it matter if someone you've never met before and will never see again laughs at you for a short second because you're doing something that you enjoy? I've never really been able to understand why people can't just be happy with what they like and who they are instead of getting in a huff because somebody laughed at them.

Life shouldn't work that way. Be who you are, enjoy what you want no matter what. You'll have a lot more fun. Don't let someone elses opinion bring you down.

you are angry cause people don't like the sweet (relatively (in this are) unpopular) music you listen to, and the only good things you can say about the genres these people listen to is that the guitarists are talented and lupe's alright? fuck man, guitarists in any genre are talented, they just don't love themselves as much. and lupe? meh. just meh. go listen to some digible planets, bump that and check the reactions. if they give you whack looks then you can tell them that what they're listening to wouldn't be shit if it wasn't for what you're listening to. or any other old school shit basically
