You absolutely MUST go to this Kel!
To answer your questions:
Anyone ever been? A lot of the sites I find on it are in dutch so its hard to get a feel for it. Date set for July 19, 2008.
Get your tickets in advance - they WILL sell out.
What to expect? (musically, vibe, tickets, etc......).
Musically it's generally a house event, but lots of good variety. Techno, electro, minimal, commercial stuff...
Vibe is great! And the location they had it at last year was GORGEOUS, the stages were set up in a semi-circle around a lake (look at my pics on Facebook). Crowd wise, definitely a lot sketchier than DV...but not in a bad way.
Tickets I believe you get off the website - don't wait until you get to Amsterdam.
Also, whats the dress like? I know some festivals people get all dressed up (costums, etc) where as others you wear jeans and sneakers.
Where whatever you like...but be comfortable. Bring a sweater for the night when it's cold. It's all grassy and stuff too so be prepared if it rains, it will be muddy! There are lockers you can rent if you get there early, so you can always bring a change. You can dress up if you want to - but not everyone does. A lot of the girls there too seem to dress up in like prom dresses and stuff...dunno why, I'd rather be more comfortable so I can DANCE!
I notice, as well, that its near Eindhoven (sp?), any suggestions on easiest/cheapest transportation from A'dam?
It'll take you probably an hour to get there. What you have to do it take the train from Amsterdam to somewhere else, and then to Eindhoven (I forget what the city is before...you'd have to check with you get there - unless Jenn/Nada/Ali remember). Then when you get to Eindhoven you hope on the Extrema bus and they shuttle you to the area, then you have to go for a 15-20 minute walk to the actual grounds. Give yourself LOTS of time if you need to catch a plane.
Unfortunately there's LOTS of walking to these massives - ESPECIALLY the DV one...be prepared hahaha
