I picked up D.Ramirez's sessions cd the other day and really enjoyed it, it's not too current it's a good 6 months or so old but it's a pretty good snapshot of the electro house scene I'd say.

And yeah, a lot has changed since the days of Human Traffic and Crasher etc.

Howells Gu#27 sounds perfect for you right now. I'd go with woscar and also recommend Archipelago, and I'd add Jigsaw Pieces by The Timewriter to the list as well. Not too recent but haven't heard much better lately.
