My first gig, my first live set, weehee.

I was the opener, but was told to bang it out a little, had a great time and have now partially gotten over the phobia of playing live.

Lots of technical difficulties at the beginning (I use Ableton), I had to borrow my buddy's set up and his config. was really whack (to me) so for the first half of the set im mixing and re-setting controls and settings, hahaha.

I ended up doing the mix more or less without headphones or EQs, so the mixing at times is a tad sketchy, but not overly so. Played a little intro thing I put together, got a few people riled up as did a lot of the tunes.

Not the MOST original track list, in my years as a clubber I've found that what gets people moving in an opening set (here in Montreal anyway) is a mixture of some "somewhat known" stuff and some "less known" stuff, and suprisingly it worked out for me in the end, had the place hoppin and hootin before my buddy took over, who was also very pleased to have a full dancefloor at his disposal!

Hahahahaha, almost forgot, the pic at the very top is a picture from the night, of me thinking about which tune to play next, hahahahaha. I'm not exactly the most photogenic person AT ALL, but whatever, I had a great time.
