Here's the set list, along with some commentary, and my edition of the "Trainwreck meter":
Basil - City Streets (Kaos On City Streets)
*CHOO CHOO! First mix, what can I say? I have a problem where I need a "warm-up" mix before I can really get into things. As a result I have been working hard on improving the mixing between my first two tracks. This happens often for me and I hope more practice will let me get over it*
Afro-Mystik - Miracles (KOKI Deep-Ah)
Gui Boratto - It's Majik (Terry Lee Brown Jr Mix)
Selan - Gravity (Roots Dub)
Chemical Brothers - Come With Us (H Foundation Mix)
Ken Hirai - Come Back (FILUR Deep Down and Low Mix) [Sony Japan]
Blaze - Lovelee Home (Original Mix)
Nick Holder - Swimming (Instrumental)
Rocco - Stormy
Copyright - He Is (Ferrer & Syndenham Vox Mix)
Samantha James - Breathe You In (Fiasco's Chunkafunk)
*CHOO CHOO! "Fade out, fade out, FADE OUT NOW!" This mix is the one that I wish I could do over. I'm not too sure what happened, but I think Bump This was too slow by a notch or two (.05%). It was an adjustment to get into the less sensitive jog wheel on the 800s compared to the 200s (BIG sensitivity difference), and I feel that, and my still-training ears, contributed to the screw up. Sorry
Bryan Jones - Bump This
Swirl Peepz - Excuse Me (Ion Mix)
Dave Spoon - Background Noise
Chuck Love - Still Funky (Acid Noodle)
This track is STILL a hot one! I was focused on keeping any f-words off of my mix that I forgot the minor profanity in this track. Hence, a bit of censoring near the end of this one
Cast Of Rent - Seasons Of Love (LEX Theatrical Mix)
Akabu - I'm Not Afraid Of The Future (DJ Fudge Vocal Mix)
A caller asked about this track. If anything from the last few years can be called 'classic', then I would put this track on the list. Those haunting vocals still give me chills...
Utada Hikaru - Exodus 04 (JJ Flores Dub #2)
Carl Cox - Phuture 2000 (Dj Dan Remix)
Len Faki - Rainbow Delta (Jerome Sydenham Mix)
Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up (2005 House Mix) (white)
ATL got Rickroll'd! Even if it wasn't Rick Astley, the track has some real Funk going for it. Love it!
*CHOO CHOO! (Misia was too slow, and I went to speed it up via pitch bend...but too little too late I guess.) Talk about going out with a bang...*
Misia - Sweetness (Satoshi Tomiie's Sweeter Mix)
Still a personal favorite of mine, and one of those tracks that I'll probably be playing a few years from now.
