Ableton Question

A buddy of mine sent me 3 wav files, drums, lead guitar, vocals. I loaded em up in ableton under audio track. I applied seperate effects to each track and when I rendered it to disk it was all speeded up. I removed all the warp markers that where on the track when it was loaded could that be why?

I dont know what the tempo of the tracks are neither does the artist. I just want to load em in, apply effects and render em without any tempo changes.

hmmm....interesting...the fact that you had to remove warp markers suggests that the WARP button on the individual sample panels might be toggled on...switch it off for each sample and it should be good.

As ASFSE said, make sure 'WARP' isn't lit in each clip's properties. This will allow them to run independently of the session's tempo.

Now, if you play back IN Ableton and it's not too fast, and it is too fast after you export it.. then it could possibly be a rate issue or something. Just a thought there, in case the warp issue isn't the problem.

Yes, as said before, I think the problem is the WARP button is still lit up. Removing all the warp markers will still leave the clip with the overall tempo it estimates, then having WARP on adjusts the track to the tempo of the project. Turn WARP off and it'll all play back/ render fine.
