He's been working on this since after WMC of last year. I think it turned out with some real bangers.

Not as much new work as I was hoping for, but a lot of quality. SVD really knows how to make sounds that just work in a club environment.

Agreed - his tunes are bangin' in the club - always get the crowd moving just right. I wish the album were longer, and like you, wish that there were more new tracks - but beggers can't be choosers Hopefully it sounds on point!

I am a huge fan of Mr. van Doorn. Seeing him spin Sun Goes Down in Windsor NYE 2006 is one of my favourite clubbing memories. The bass on Riff sounds just incredible in my car. And the two times I've seen him live he has delivered amazing sets. This album, however, isn't anything too special. The best tracks, I think, are those that we've already heard many times on radio shows (e.g. Riff, Grasshopper, and By Any Demand). The remaining songs are not 'bad' tracks (they are 'listen-to-able') but they are nothing about which to brag. I look forward to hopefully seeing him the next time he comes to S.Ontario.
