Why Mccain should tap Romney 4 VP

As we all know Romney suspended his pursuit for the Republican nomination today. Clearly as an analysis I made in a previous thread, Romney made to many enemies within the Rep candidates. I do believe that McCain and Huckabbe, two good friends who have never really traded jabs in this campaign, were out as some type of alliance to knock Romney out. Clearly the pastor was a barrier that was able to stop Romney. So we can say that Huckabee beat Romney and McCain has won the nomination. Now whats interesting is that we will see in the upcoming days if the pastor is still going to continue his pursuit for the nomination. Which I think he will.

Now the many true real conservatives are ticked off that McCain has won the nomination. Many true real conservatives cant think of voting for him. So come election day, if McCain dosent win their confidence, we will see these voters either 1. vote for the dem candidate or 2. stay home and not vote. Which would truly hurt McCain. Romney was the candidate of these true conservatives... something that McCain needs to have on his bag to win come Nov. But can McCain put aside his personal dislikes and tap Romney for the VP of this country? IMO if he does that he can send a loud shout to all the real conservatives that he stands by them and that their values are important to him. If McCain can overcome this personal issue with Romney I truly think he can win these conservatives over. Now McCain has the tough homework in persuading these conservatives to his side. We all know that the real conservatives will never betray their values and vote 4 someone just because he is running as a Republican, the candidate must reflect their values. These group of people have matured in that sense.

If this isn't imperialism, I don't know what is...The empire will march on with McCain and we will have MORE terrorism, more anti-americanism, and if our credibility isn't already down the shithole, imagine the future of more empire building...

McCain can't stand Romney - that ticket wouldn't make sense. A McCain/Huckabee ticket on the other hand... would definitely placate the religious fundos.

In short, Giuliani carries too much baggage, Romney is a robot/Mormon, and Huckabee is on the crazy side of religion. I don't know that we'll see one of the other candidates tapped for a ticket. And I don't think we'll see an announcement anytime soon - technically McCain can take the next six months to mull it over before coming to a decision. There's a rumor going around that he might ask Joe Lieberman to try and steal the Unity '08 vote and chip away at some moderate Democrats... but I think that would be an unwise political decision. It would motivate the Democratic base like none other to defeat that Lieberman tool and would further alienate the conservative base.

In other news, did anyone catch Romney's drop out speech? The best excerpt:

quote:
Originally spoken by Mitt Romney:

"Error. Error. I have not been programmed to lose. Does not compute. Initiating shutdown. Error."
